Welcome to World Disease Online.  You may start available assignments any time before the due dates.  The first assignment is due Friday January 24.  

This course is entirely asynchronous. There are no meetings, active discussions, or  zoom conferences to attend. "Discussions" are assignments whereby you compare different perspectives on disease and mostly make comparisons among different countries throughout the world. 

Since the entire course is posted on canvas, you may work at your own pace and start anytime as long as you meet the deadlines you will see in the course calendar.  Email Dr. Shaw  if you have any questions  jshaw@endicott.edu

There are no textbooks to purchase. Dr. Shaw has created a textbook using all open education resources (free educational materials) such as the World health organization, Center for Disease Control, Open Stax Microbiology, and the United Nations. Each module has a link to the related chapters. The entire book can be found here
